Building the narrative case for collaborative lending as a model for community-centered finance, across funders, partners, and the community simultaneously.

Northwestern Side Community Development Corporation operates on a structural argument: that community development finance works better when institutions work together rather than in competition. The model is rigorous. The challenge is that its audience is plural: funders evaluate it on financial terms, community members on trust, and partners on alignment. A single piece of content had to reach all three without compromising for any of them.

JMC built the narrative strategy first, mapping the argument that could hold across all three audiences before a frame was shot. Production followed the strategy, cinematic in form, precise in structure, and built to reframe collaborative lending not as an alternative model but as the standard against which conventional approaches should be measured.
